The 1 troy oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is an internationally renowned silver bullion coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM). First introduced in 1986, it has grown into one of the most widely traded and recognized silver bullion coins in the world.
Each Canadian Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin is struck from 99.99% pure silver.
The obverse of the coin bears an effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, along with inscriptions denoting the coin’s legal tender face value and year of issue.
On the reverse, the coin showcases a striking high-relief image of Canada’s national symbol, the maple leaf. The silver purity “9999” and the inscription “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR” are displayed in an arc beneath the design.
Since 2014, Silver Maple Leaf coins have incorporated precision-machined radial lines on both sides, along with a micro-engraved textured maple leaf security mark indicating the year of issue. The privy mark on this coin is micro-engraved with the number “26,” corresponding to its year of release.
In addition, Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins have featured the Royal Canadian Mint’s proprietary Mintshield® Surface Protection technology since 2019, enhancing resistance to milk spots and preserving the coin’s finish.
