The reverse of the Silver Kangaroo coin depicts a bounding red kangaroo set against a radiating sunburst design. Also inscribed on the reverse are the coin’s year of issue, weight, and silver purity.

The obverse of the 2026 Silver Kangaroo features a contemporary effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, Australia’s reigning monarch, created by designer Dan Thorne.
