The 1 oz Silver Philharmonic is an investment-grade bullion coin produced by the Austrian Mint in Vienna, one of Europe’s oldest mints. It is struck from 99.9% pure silver and weighs 1 troy ounce (31.07 grams).
The obverse features the Great Pipe Organ of the Vienna Concert Hall, along with inscriptions for “Republik Oesterreich,” the coin’s weight, purity, and the year 2026. The reverse displays a collection of instruments from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, including a cello, harp, horn, and bassoon. Both sides were designed by chief engraver Thomas Pesendorfer.
First introduced in 2008, the Silver Philharmonic is issued only in the 1 oz format and carries a €1.50 face value as legal tender in the Eurozone. With over 80 million coins minted, it is one of the world’s most popular silver bullion coins.
