The 2026 1 oz American Silver Eagle is a globally recognized silver bullion coin produced by the United States Mint from 99.9% pure silver.
First issued in 1986, the Silver Eagle has sold over 130 million coins, making it the world’s most popular silver bullion coin. Its obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s classic “Walking Liberty” design, along with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year 2026.
The reverse shows a detailed image of an eagle landing with an oak branch, surrounded by “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR.”
Although it carries a face value of $1 as legal tender in the U.S., its true value lies in its silver content. The U.S. government guarantees its weight and purity, and it is also eligible for inclusion in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
Popular among both investors and collectors, the Silver Eagle is highly liquid and widely traded. Individual coins are packaged in protective flips, while orders of 20 come in mint tubes and larger quantities of 500 are shipped in official monster boxes.
